Vienna supports Sofia’s candidature for European Capital of Culture
Ernst Woller, Chairman of the Culture Commission at the Vienna Municipal Council, officially declared Vienna’s support for Sofia’s candidature for European Capital of Culture in 2019.
This happened during his visit to Sofia on the occasion of the Vienna Charity Ball in February, which is held in the capital city for 13th time.
In a conversation between him, the Austrian Ambassador Gerhard Reiweger and Mrs. Fandakova, “the possibilities for cooperation between Sofia and Vienna were discussed with respect to enhancing the cultural supply in the city, including in the sphere of tourist advertising”.
