Wroclaw, selected to be European Capital of Culture in 2016, supports the candidacy of Sofia for European Capital of Culture in 2019.

This was announced on a working meeting between Sofia Development Association and representatives of the Polish ECoC senator Jaroslaw Obremski, Director of the Program council of European capital of culture, and Krzysztof Maj, Director IMPART  which is the coordinator of all activities regarding Wroclaw 2016.

The meeting was attended also by the Director of the Polish cultural institute in Sofia – Agnieszka Kosciuszko.
